Ministries

We have a number of ministries, some that are unique to our church and some that are planned by other organizations and practiced by many other churches.

Below is a list of our current, active ministries. We have had other ministries in the past that have been discontinued for various reasons; you might find more information on some of those in the history section of our website.

Alpha | Bethel Home | Bibles on the Road | Gamma Delta | Recycled Greeting Cards | Group Workcamp | One Great Hour of Sharing | Parish Nurse | Puppets | Vacation Bible School | Presbyterian Women | Youth Group

The Alpha Course

The Alpha Course The Alpha Course is “an opportunity for anyone to explore the Christian faith in a relaxed, non-threatening manner over ten thought-provoking weekly sessions.”

We currently meet every Thursday, 6-8:45 PM, in the Fellowship Hall (downstairs)

Bethel Maternity Home

Bethel Maternity Home provides much-needed food, supplies, and other resources to pregnant teen mothers in Upper Sandusky.

In our Sunday bulletin each week, we ask our church members to donate supplies, with a different theme each month (paper supplies, office supplies, etc.). We have a bassinet downstairs when you first walk in to collect these items.

Bibles on the Road

Bibles on the Road is a ministry of Scripture for those on the road, in particular truck drivers.

Bob Thompson, a truck driver himself and a member of our congregation, delivers copies of the New Testament Bible to roadsides while he is on the road.

Click here to visit our Bibles on the Road website, though it is still under constuction.

Gamma Delta

Gamma Delta is our class for seniors. Each class is held at a member’s house and features a special guest and discussion afterward.

We generally meet the fourth Tuesday night of every month at 7 PM. We also have a number of special activities throughout the year, including:

  • a picnic in June at Camp Michael, where we invite the entire congregation to come;
  • a “white elephant” sale during one of our fall meetings; and
  • Christmas popcorn ball making in December.
